Bespoke pattern

Why did I get involved?

The clients had lived in the house for over 20 years and it hadn’t been touched. They wanted to bring it back to life by fully redecorating each room.

How did I help?

The first stage was looking at artwork they had to help set a palette of colour, patterns and textures that they loved.

We then looked at existing items to decide which would be kept or re-upholstered. I designed a bespoke rug for the breakfast room, with a design inspired by my sketches of the James Turrell Sky Space at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park

What was the impact?

Creating bespoke patterns and choosing textiles allowed me to create a unique home for my clients that suited them perfectly. They now love their house because it’s full of colour and pattern that sets off their art collection beautifully.

Kind words from Erica, my client:

‘Natasha was introduced to us by a close friend.  She is an interior designer but also an artist so has a wonderful eye for colour and design.   We wanted to update our home, which had been done up 20 years earlier and was looking tired and dated. We also needed two new bathrooms.  We both work full time and are not creative. We really didn’t know where to begin in terms of materials and colour schemes.

Natasha started from basics in terms of our preferences.  She then returned on several occasions with samples of various types of fabrics, colour charts and pictures of the new furniture we needed, and she worked with us to agree the scope and cost of the project.

Natasha organised the builders and decorators and arranged for the supply and upholstery of all items. She also designed a beautiful rug for us. We are very happy with how the house now looks.

Natasha was always punctual and helpful and supervised the project throughout.

We were completely happy with Natasha and would highly recommend her.’
